School's out for SUMMER!

We're heading to Dubuque in the morning so I'm blogging a day early this week. :) We've had a busy week with an end-of-the-year bash at school, the library's summer reading kick-off party, a graduation party, Noah's awards assembly and a few other things thrown in just to fill in the extra time we had each day. ;)

Noah's school is basically being split next year as the Arts Magnet (about 350 students) is being combined with the middle school Arts Magnet students to create a K-8 Arts School. It will be a great situation but as we all know, saying good-bye is never easy. To truly celebrate the end of the year, the PTS brought in several inflatables, a dunk tank and brought back some of the favorite spring field day games. It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a great time. I was able to spend the day helping out. When Noah's class came through, I was at the "noodle race" station, so that is what the pictures are from. :) Lots of giggles could be heard at that station!!

Noah and Josiah both had fun at the library summer reading kick-off party. There was a puppet show, a story and lots of singing and dancing.

I bought Josiah a water table and sprinkler to play in. He's another water baby!

Monday was the last day of school. We went to the Awards Assembly and weren't surprised that Noah was the Outstanding Art Student for his class. We were surprised when they called his name again for Outstanding Social Studies Student though! He is a great student all around but we weren't expecting him to get more than one award. :) He also had perfect attendance this year with only one tardy! This was the first year that Noah didn't miss a day. We are very proud of our smart, talented boy and we thank God for Him every day!
