Ahhh, another opportunity to brag on my favorite 6-year old! :) Yesterday, we got Noah's fall midterm report and Michael and I are both beaming with pride. Noah's love of learning and love of school in general makes life SO much easier, I think. He is such a joy to us and we are so very thankful for the great little boy that we have been blessed with.
Reading, Math, Writing and Social Studies were the subject areas on this report. According to a computerized reading test, Noah is currently reading at a 2nd grade, 5th month level and has an excellent sight word vocabulary. He is in the 93rd percentile for reading nationally. (Not a surprise at all...) According to the computerized math test, Noah is at 1st grade, 9th month level and in the 91st percentile. His class work for all the subject areas was basically 100%! His teacher's comments included: "Noah is an excellent student. He grasps skills easily and quickly... He is off to a great start!"

Noah's new room
While Noah and Michael are making supper, I thought I'd put up the pictures of Noah and his new room. :) He slept in his new bed for the first time last night and he said it was very comfortable. We bought the mattress yesterday and made the bed before he got home from school - to say that he was very excited is an understatement. He climbed up straightaway to check it out. We spent the rest of the evening moving the rest of his room into position and he put the finishing touches on with Scooby Doo wall clings that he had picked out. He carefully planned where each cling would go and also spent a fair amount of time setting his desk up just the way he wanted it. He did a good job. He also got a new closet system, which I had picked out for MY closet last Christmas. Oh well... the sacrifices a mother makes. ;) lol
So, here are the pictures of Noah's new room!

still playing catch up...
Looking back, I realized I hadn't posted pictures from our visit from Grandma Alice & Grandpa Bob a couple weeks ago. They came for a weekend in August and though we didn't do a whole lot, we still had fun!
Also, I found a couple pictures from the first day of school that are really cute and I wanted to share with you.
My favorite part of the day... still. :)

A tradition I started last year - a welcome home chalk sign on the driveway for Noah.
